Here Goes the Cargo
Freighters are hulk carriers meant for carrying cargo in bulks. These huge water vessels are mostly industrial but can carry passengers as well. By passengers we mean more of the capital class. The freighter is a huge ship which can carry about 937,500m3 of goods. Caldari and Charon are the largest of the freighter groups. They have the highest velocity of about 70m/sec. they operate mainly from one station to the other. These huge ships have low security and have to depend on other ships for defense. However, there are freighter cruises available which carry passengers as well.
Any of you wanting to free your mind from the daily hassles of life can easily opt for a pleasure trip on a freighter cruise. Sailing across the vast oceans, you can enjoy the sun filled days and soothing evenings with your family, friends and companions. You can derive the pleasure of being in the quiet company of the sea.
Similarly barges are meant for carrying cargo mainly through river and canal routes. They run basically with the help of tow boats or are pushed by the same. Generally barges cannot be driven on their own. Like freighters barges carry heavy goods from one place to the other. However, there are selected barges which are self propelled.
Some outdated barges are being renovated and converted into luxury hotels to cater to the increasing needs of the tourism travelers. In tough waters barges are usually aided by tug boats.
