Going Wild in Africa

Africa being the 2nd largest continent boasts of its natural resources and breath taking landscapes. Africa is surrounded by major water bodies on its three sides. It is a home to a massive number of wildlife species. You cannot probably count the types. Africa is a treat for all those tourism lovers who like to experience the richness of nature at its best.

The plant life in Africa is unique. This place is a motherland to several plant species which grow exclusively in the continent. The climate supports the widest range of wild life species. African safari opens up the picturesque view of the rich African wildlife to the millions of tourists who come to visit the place. In fact Kruger National Park which is the largest national wild life reserve of the continent is a natural refuge to thousands of wild life species.

Do you know that South Africa is one of the most established sources of solar resource? Solar resource is a major alternative energy. Another interesting fact is that South Africa is the one and only country to spontaneously discard the use of nuclear weapons for any reason.

The recorded history of Africa starts with the rising of the Nile valley civilization of Egypt in Northern part of the continent. Under the Pharaonic civilization there was a literary rising in Egypt. The fluctuating warm and dry climate of Sahara has led it to become a vast desert land. Since the North African coastline was conquered by the Romans, a mixed Afro-Roman culture evolved thereafter. The forested coasts of West Africa became more or less influenced by the Muslim culture.

This diversified land mass gives shelter to innumerable species of the carnivore group which includes the Lions, the hyenas, the cheetahs, the jaguars and more. These animals feed mostly on smaller or larger herbivorous animals such as the buffaloes, gazelle, wilder beats and more. The African Elephants are the largest amongst the pachyderm family.

So now you can have an idea as to why Africa is one the best tourist spots of the world.
